Bio
My completely uninformative stock bio:Kit Zheng enjoys basking in the warm light of the computer screen and affecting a look which suggests the planning of artistic masterpieces, great literature, or at the very least, a world takeover. Sadly, regardless of whatever deadlines might be looming, the real truth is that Kit is merely contemplating what to have for dinner. Kit Zheng has written under the names "KT Zheng" and "Cat Zheng."
Slightly more informative, rambling, Web Exclusive bio:
I am part Canadian, part American, part Chinese and part just plain confused.
My stories have always revolved around people, which is vaguely humorous given how misanthropic I can be. I like potent dynamics between people: hate, lust, desperation, fear, aggression, suppression, and sometimes love. I am most instinctively drawn to fantasy stories, but I also enjoy horror, urban fantasy, and contemporary drama.
My writing hero is Stephen King--I think he's a phenomenal storyteller with a nostalgic insight into people. I love pop culture. I love superhero comics, horror, fantasy, science fiction, dark fiction in general. I think erotic stories are great. I love Tom of Finland and Tagame.
I've had four short stories and one novellette published by Torquere Press. "Hide," which was included in the anthology Shifting Again was nominated for a Gaylactic Spectrum Award in 2007. Exposure, released in summer of 2007, has been reviewed very positively by several sites. I am currently editing an anthology for Torquere Press, "Bend Over Big Boy," which features butch bottoms. I'm also working on two novels and hopefully a sequel to Hide and one for Exposure.
